This version of ZipIt fixes bugs found in version 1.0, and also adds some important new features. The most notable of these new features is the addition of deflation. ZipIt can now deflate as well as inflate files, making it fully compatible with PKZip 2.x.
SYSTEM 6 USERS NOTE: ZipIt 1.0 had a bug which made it very difficult to create zip files under system 6. This version corrects this and a number of other system 6 bugs. Sorry for any incovenience these problems may have caused.
Please see the Troubleshooting section in the documentation if you have any problems getting zip files to work after being transferred to a non-Mac machine (eg an IBM).
When registering ZipIt, if you have a preference as to where I should send you your password, please indicate it with an asterisk.
Support for folder structure is already underway in ZipIt; it did not make this version because I felt I needed to release a new version as soon as possible to fix a number of major bugs, particularly those that occurred under System 6. It will definitely be a part of the next release, however.

NOTE: The only difference between this version and version 1.1 is that this version fixes a bug in which ZipIt would display a print dialog box whenever you tried to open a zip archive from within ZipIt. Sorry about that to any of you who downloaded version 1.1.
